Rule 168
Approving the contract

(1) Any or all tenders filed or any or all tenders submitted in accordance with the published notice under sub-rule (4) of Rule 167 may be approved or rejected by the local body without showing any reason.
(2) After duly received bids, the bid of the highest bidder shall be accepted.
(3) In the case of public promotion in accordance with clause (i) of sub-rule (4) of rule 167, the promotion shall be started from the minimum base and the price of the highest bidder shall be immediately accepted by taking a bond or a bond guarantee as per sub-rule (5) of rule 167. will fall.
(4) The authorities mentioned in Rule 12, Rule 27 and Rule 48 shall have the right to approve bids or public promotion documents as per this paragraph as mentioned in the same rules.
